Palmesano Welcomes Fifth Graders from St. Michael School in Penn Yan to State Capitol
Recently, Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) was pleased to welcome a group of fifth graders from Keith Prather’s fifth-grade class from St. Michael School. The school is located in Penn Yan in Yates County. Palmesano was also pleased to meet with the family members who accompanied them.
Palmesano enjoyed providing the group a tour of the capitol and fielding questions from the inquisitive students.
“I am so glad that these students and their families made the trip to Albany and were able to see their state capitol up close and personal,” said Palmesano. “I hope they enjoyed the day as much as I did. These kids were engaged, they were polite and they asked great questions. They’re a credit to their teacher, Mr. Prather, to their parents and to St. Michael School,” said Palmesano. The students who made the trip were Jazmyne Bryan, Mia Banach, Ben Bryan, Ben Botzum, Jared Nielsen-Henderson, Noah Stewart, Landon Spears and JD Tett.
