Tomorrow, May 5, is the seventh annual I Love My Park Day, a statewide event held by Parks & Trails New York dedicated to beautifying, cleaning and enhancing state parks.

“It’s also about promoting awareness about all of the recreational opportunities created by our wonderful state parks system,” added Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning).

Local residents can volunteer tomorrow at Sampson and Watkins Glen State Parks. They can register online.

“We live in one of the most scenic areas in the entire world. We’re so fortunate that we can enjoy all of the amenities our state parks provide us here in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Region. This time of year, there’s nothing better than getting outside and enjoying the nice weather with our family and friends. Please consider volunteering tomorrow to invest your time, energy and talent in a treasured resource that everyone in our community can enjoy,” said Palmesano.
