Palmesano Pleased to Read to Students Enrolled in Addison Public Library Summer Learning Program
Recently, Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) was pleased to read to students participating in the Addison Public Library Summer Learning Program at Addison High School.
“I’m proud to promote literacy in our community, whether it’s fighting for state aid for local libraries, organizing our annual Summer Reading Challenge or dropping by great programs like this and spending some time with the kids. Encouraging our kids to read about things that interest them at a young age sets them up for a lifetime of continuing education and discovery. I want to thank Director Patterson for having me and thank the kids for being so attentive,” said Palmesano.
“The participants of the Summer Learning Program sponsored by the Addison Public Library were extremely pleased that Assemblyman Palmesano could take time out of his busy schedule to visit the program. They enjoyed him reading a story to them and his interest and participation in the day's activity,” said Addison Public Library Director Lori Patterson.
