Assembly Member Rebecca A. Seawright: “Let’s Work Together To Make Progress in 2016”

“As a new legislative session begins, we have the opportunity to tackle the challenges facing our state and continue to build a brighter future. Our top priority must always be strengthening the people and communities that make New York great.

“Last year, the Assembly Majority had many successes and saw much of our Families First agenda come to fruition. We led the way on women’s equality, investing in education and making life more affordable for working families. Now, we must continue that momentum to create more opportunities so that everyone has a chance to get ahead.

“Among my priorities for this year are ethics reform, pedestrian safety and affordable housing. The governor’s State of the State address touched on many of these ideas, and I will work tirelessly with our partners in government to ensure that every New Yorker has a fair shot at success.”
