This past weekend I was proud to stand with the Roosevelt Island community as the Franklin D. Roosevelt Hope Memorial was unveiled. It was a beautiful day to see the brand new memorial that celebrates FDR's disability. My office was able to secure a $150,000 donation from an anonymous constituent to help bring this project across the finish line.

Helene Goldfarb, 91, a retired teacher and longtime community leader from Yorkville, said that the group welcomed the opportunity to present community concerns directly to the Senator. Helene asked what is the status of the return of the State and Local Taxes deductions known as SALT through the reconciliation bill.
