‘The Gray Area’ Episode Two
Assemblyman Scott Gray (R-Watertown) is releasing the second episode of ‘The Gray Area’ video series. In this week’s episode, Gray discusses his concerns with A.993 and the vagueness of the bill language that leaves much to interpretation for the implementation of this initiative to ‘decarbonize’ the state agency vehicle fleet. He also questioned if local governments or the private sector would be afforded the same option as state government to implement the initiative, “if feasible.” The North Country depends heavily on recreational vehicles, such as boats, ATVs, snowmobiles and more, there has been no consideration given for electrification implementation for these motorized activities.
The assemblyman also thanked the various groups and organizations who visited his Albany office or took the time to meet with him on the Assembly floor.
“We had another busy week at the state Capitol between budget hearings, committee meetings and regular session on the floor,” said Gray. “I want to once again congratulate the Syracuse Men’s Soccer Team on their national championship. It’s an incredible achievement that these student athletes will never forget.”
