Gray Encourages Young People to Enter Essay Contest: ‘My Dreams for My Community’

The Adirondack Center for Writing and the Community Engagement Committee of Adirondack Voters for Change are sponsoring a regional essay writing contest with the purpose of encouraging young people to think more deeply about their community. The theme is “My Dreams for My Community” and is open to two age groups ranging from 13 to 25 years of age. Submissions are open now until Thursday, June 15, 2023.

“Young people are our future leaders, thinkers, lawmakers, doctors, teachers and more. What they have to say matters. This opportunity, provided by The Adirondack Center for Writing and the Community Engagement Committee of Adirondack Voters for Change, is a chance to express your hopes and dreams for your community. If you want to see change in your community, I encourage you to participate and speak your mind,” said Assemblyman Scott Gray (R-Watertown).
