Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C-Batavia) and Sen. George Borrello (R,C-57^th District) participated in Small Business Saturday over the weekend to support small businesses by shopping at numerous independently owned companies in Batavia. Their stops included Oliver's Candies, Charles Men's Shop, YNGodess Shop, Valle Jewelers, Batavia Bootery and Adam Miller Toys and Bicycles. Hawley was proud to highlight these local establishments with Sen. Borrello and hopes more people will consider shopping local this Christmas.

“As small business owners ourselves, Sen. Borrello and I understand the importance of these establishments in our community,” said Hawley. “When you shop local, you don’t only support the business, but you also contribute to local supply chains that provide for numerous local businesses in the area. This is why I’ve supported many initiatives in the state Assembly to ensure independently owned businesses have the support and resources they need. I encourage everyone to get out and consider shopping local this holiday season.”
