Hawley Celebrates America's 250th Birthday

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C-Batavia) joins Americans across the nation in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S., recognizing the enduring values of freedom, opportunity and self-government that have shaped the nation since its founding.

"America's 250th birthday is more than a celebration of our history; it's a reminder of the principles that have made our nation a beacon of hope for generations," said Hawley. "To be an American is to inherit a remarkable legacy of freedom, opportunity and self-government. It means embracing the responsibility to protect those ideals, serving our communities and ensuring the American dream remains within reach for future generations. On this historic anniversary, we honor the patriots who founded this country, the service members who defended it and the countless Americans who strengthen our nation every day. As we celebrate 250 years of independence, may we never take for granted the liberties we enjoy or the sacrifices that made them possible."

Hawley encourages residents to celebrate Independence Day safely with family, friends and neighbors while reflecting on the shared values that have united Americans for 250 years and continue to inspire hope for the nation's future.
