Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) is proud of the overwhelming participation at two recent blood drives he hosted in his district. Thanks to the many donors who took part, the Batavia drive collected 10 units of blood and the Albion event collected 20 units.

“I want to thank and commend the donors who participated in my blood drives for giving the precious gift of life,” said Hawley. “I am happy to help raise awareness and inspire increased giving to our blood banks. It’s gratifying to know that there are so many selfless individuals in our community who are willing to lend a hand and help save the lives of our friends and neighbors in need.”

Hawley also would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make these blood drives successful, especially Diana Fulcomer, assistant at Drug Free Community Project, and Sara Harvey, account manager for donor services at the Red Cross of Buffalo, for all their hard work.
