Hawley Applauds Reinstatement of Funds to Local Municipalities
Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C,I-Batavia) is applauding the successful reinstatement of funding to local municipalities in the state budget. After funding was at risk of being cut from the governors budget plan, Hawley fought hard to ensure that local municipalities were protected in the wake of the health crisis currently affecting the entire state.
I am incredibly proud of the work we have done to ensure these local municipalities continue to have the funds they need to survive this crisis, Hawley said. These steps will go a long way towards keeping up local infrastructure in a time of such uncertainty. With $200,392 going to Genesee County, $160,388 to the Town of Batavia and $440,789 to the City of Batavia, this financial support will go a long way toward making this crisis more manageable.
