Huntington, NY – New York State Assemblyman Steve Stern named Suffolk County Police Officer Claudia Delgado as the 2023 Woman of Distinction for the 10^th Assembly District. Each year, the Assembly presents the Women of Distinction award to honor and recognize outstanding local women who have worked to improve their communities and positively impact the lives of others.

Officer Delgado serves as the Community Liaison Officer for the Suffolk County Police Department’s Second Precinct. She is an outstanding fixture in the community and has helped foster a trusting relationship between law enforcement and the public. Officer Delgado has created and participated in numerous programs benefitting our neighbors, such as Bikes for Kids, Shop with a Cop, coaching youth sports, and delivering turkeys to the elderly and people with disabilities during the holidays.
