On March 19th, Assemblyman Schiavoni introduced members of the YMCA Youth and Government (YAG) program in celebration of its 90th anniversary. Programs like these are helping build the next generation of civic-minded public servants.
Assemblyman Schiavoni is pictured on the final day of the office’s annual Toys-For-Tots donation drive. Altogether, the good people of the 1st Assembly District donated well over 1,000 toys to children in need across Long Island.
On October 22nd, 2025, Assemblyman Schiavoni, with NYSAGM Commissioner Richard Ball and local officials, announced $4 million in state funding to boost Long Island’s aquaculture industry. These monies will help local producers purchase equipment and kickstart their operations.
On April 6th, Assemblyman Tommy John Schiavoni joined Assemblywoman Rebecca Kassay and SUNY Stony Brook students at a rally for increased funding for SUNY and CUNY Schools to address critical deferred maintenance needs.

On Friday May 30th New York State Assemblyman Tommy Schiavoni joined the launch of “Brew for the Bay” in support of “Back to the Bays Sag Harbor” —a local partnership lead by Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Marine Program. Brew for the Bay will help raise funds to support the expansion of eelgrass and shellfish restoration a CCE’s Sag Harbor stewardship site.
