Higher Education

Our public higher education system was created so that every student in New York can have the opportunity to receive the best education possible. Students shouldn’t have to give up their dream of a college education because they can’t afford it. Access to quality, affordable higher education would help fill the jobs of tomorrow.

The NYS Assembly would increase access to quality, affordable higher education by:
  • Increasing the number of students enrolling in, and completing degrees at, colleges and universities through the Higher Education Road to Success initiative
  • Tackling the ever-rising costs of higher education
  • Investing in skill-development and workforce training programs
  • Expanding opportunities for students across New York State
