 "In Queens at Queens College we just had an announcement where they're starting a food pantry because of the needs of our students are great as this city continues to…cost of living continues in the city of New York these are things our students are thinking about, so to hear about the program re-up…not only do they have to make sure, especially part time students everything is paid but they able to eat at the end of the day and I think that's a serious problem that we are facing so I'm glad to hear about those programs," said  Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman to Christopher Rosa, Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs for City University of New York during the public hearing held by the Assembly's Standing Committee on Higher Education to examine the current maintenance of effort provisions for SUNY and CUNY and the potential expansion of such maintenance of effort provisions.
