Staten Island, NY – In recognition of Black History Month, Assemblyman Charles D. Fall (D-Richmond, New York, Kings) hosted a special event in Staten Island to honor Black law enforcement officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Port Authority Police Department, New York State Police, and MTA Police Department for their dedication, sacrifice, and service to public safety.
The event brought together law enforcement leaders, elected officials, and community members to celebrate the contributions of Black officers who have played a pivotal role in protecting and serving Staten Island and communities across New York. Every day, our officers put their lives on the line to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities. Today, we pause to recognize their dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to public service. I want to personally thank Assemblyman Fall for organizing this event and for his steadfast support of our officers. His recognition of their efforts means so much to those of us who serve and protect this borough.
Black History Month is a time to honor the dedication and sacrifice of Black law enforcement officers whose leadership and service have strengthened our communities and paved the way for future generations.” Said Chief Eger
