“I was recently informed that there was a report of a Staten Island police officer being shot in the Graniteville community. A level 1 mobilization was activated to assist the fallen officer. Early reporting is suggesting that it may have been self-inflicted.

I am awaiting more details on the incident and I want to express my deepest prayers and thoughts to the officer and their family. We should all reflect on the daily trials and tribulations that our law enforcement endure with protecting and serving our communities,” said Assemblyman Charles D. Fall.
