NORTH SHORE, NEW YORK – Assemblymember Charles Lavine (D-North Shore), who serves as President of the New York chapter of the National Association of Jewish Legislators, has written a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos urging a stop to the selling of garments bearing the controversial phrase “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," which several Jewish groups see as an antisemitic chant.

The letter states: “The overwhelming majority of Amazon shareowners and customers would be nauseated that your platform is selling clothing with the logo ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ … “You may as well sell clothing bearing the words ‘Kill all Jews.’”
