Lavine Secures Funds for Westbury Senior Center

Westbury, New York – Assemblymember Charles D. Lavine (D–Westbury) is pleased to announce a legislative grant of $10,000 for the Westbury Senior Center.

“The Westbury Senior Center is a crucial place for many members of our community, many people use the center as their home away from home,” said Assemblymember Charles Lavine. “I commend Executive Director Maureen Droge and her entire staff for all the work they do, and I look forward to all the successful programs this center will continue to put on for years to come”

Earlier this week, the Senior Center confirmed receipt of the grant and plans to use the crucial funds towards the well-being of the center. The funds will be going towards important computer system upgrades and insurance related necessities for the center that they simply wouldn’t be able to exist without.

Assemblymember Lavine continues to prioritize the needs of the senior citizen community and continues to partner with senior centers as vital stakeholders of the community.

“This grant is huge for us and we really appreciate everything Assemblymember Lavine has done for us” said Andrea Padinha the Assistant Director of the Westbury Senior Center.
