Ra Celebrates Animal Advocacy Day
Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) recently participated in the 4th annual New York State Animal Advocacy Day. The bi-partisan event brings together members of the NYS Assembly and Senate to advocate for legislation that further protects our loving pets from cruelty.
“Pets become part of our family and deserve to be treated with kindness and affection,” said Ra. “Our four-legged friends are constantly loyal, and I believe that we must do all we can to return the favor. Animal Advocacy Day gives us the opportunity to do just that by promoting awareness and the severity of animal abuse. It is important that we take action and speak up for our beloved pets of all shapes and sizes.”
In addition to members of the Assembly and Senate, representatives from shelters, rescues and law enforcement were also in attendance to share advocacy information, participate in networking and speak to attendees.
