Ra Implores Governor to Sign Bill Authorizing Nursing Home Visitation

A Statement by Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square)

“In the Legislature, Minority and Majority members came together to pass a bipartisan bill allowing New Yorkers to visit their loved ones who have been isolated in nursing homes for far too long. It’s a critically important mental health issue for residents.

“Now that residents, staff and millions of New Yorkers are vaccinated, there’s no justification whatsoever to continue prohibiting a thoughtful, safe visitation process. I’m urging the governor to do the right, compassionate thing and sign the bill today,” said Ra.
