Jensen: What Is Gov. Cuomo’s Plan B?

A statement from Assemblyman Josh Jensen (R,C,I-Greece) on Gov. Cuomo’s proposed 2021 State Budget

“As our state continues to deal with the hardships the pandemic has brought, today, I was prepared for the Governor to share his specific budgetary plans to address our state’s $15 billion deficit. However, what we heard was a continuation of broad ideas and priorities from last week’s State of State broadcasts. The people of New York deserve to know more details on the governor’s ambiguous ideas of budget cuts, borrowing of money and ways to raise revenue. Although the governor is hoping that the federal government will provide New York with the $15 billion it needs to cover the deficit, I wish he elaborated more on his ‘worst case’ plan if we do not receive that amount. His wish list may not be given to him and he has a right to educate our constituents on his ‘Plan B.’”
