“Gov. Hochul’s budget address today was yet another example of the absurdity that is the Majority’s fiscal policy. Last year, I voiced concern with what was the largest state budget in history at $212 billion. This year’s executive budget proposal is even larger, with even more wild spending.

“At some point the Majority has to address the underlying causes of our state’s problems. The governor was right when she said that the pandemic did not create all the problems we face today, single-party rule by Majority politicians and the ridiculous policies they’ve enacted did. Instead of continuing to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on irresponsible spending programs, it’s about time we repeal and replace the radical policies that are hurting New Yorkers.”
