Brabenec Touts Small-Business Support Heading Into Budget Talks
Following Small Business Advocacy Day in Albany, Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) is touting his support for local employers and pledging his continued advocacy throughout budget negotiations. Brabenec prides himself on fighting to cut the burdensome red tape, regulations and taxes that hinder job creation and force companies out of New York State.
“Dating back to when I served as Supervisor of the Town of Deerpark, I realized how our state’s stifling regulatory structure and business taxes are killing job growth and forcing companies and the families who own them to close up shop and leave the place they call home,” Brabenec said. “We are talking about the livelihood of our families, our community and the strong relationship that my constituents have with everyone from the local tailor to the local butcher. I ran for the Assembly because I want to protect these people and make everyone’s lives better, but we can only do that if we focus on growing our small businesses instead of smothering them, and that starts this month with budget negotiations.”
