“It’s such a disappointment to see the decision from the second Circuit Court. Why is it that someone in a position of power can get away with such blatant abuses of their office? He was convicted by a jury of his peers and should be held accountable for his nefarious actions. This is another call to action to fight against the corruption that grips the heart of our state government. It is a travesty of our justice system to say that Silver did not abuse his position in the slightest and that the rich and powerful won’t be held to the same standards as the average citizen.”
