“While Gov. Cuomo continues to talk about how difficult this budget season will be in light of the projected $4 billion deficit, the solution starts with taking a look in the mirror.

“While I do agree we need to fully fund our schools, invest more in tackling the opioid epidemic and fix our crumbling roads and bridges, more taxes and spending is not the answer.

“While the governor continues to turn a blind eye to his own fiscal mismanagement, I will be focusing on eliminating waste in our welfare and economic development programs and cutting property taxes through passage of the School Property Tax Reduction Act.”
