Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) held a district-wide library tour on Monday, visiting the Sloatsburg Public Library, Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick, and the Port Jervis Free Library. The event was organized in conjunction with February being National Library Lovers Month.
Libraries are one of those unique public services that are enjoyed by residents of all ages, occupations and education levels, Brabenec said. Traveling our impressive regional library system is like taking a walk through history, as our libraries have been visited by famous dignitaries from around the country. Now, they are wonderful resources to learn and experience that history. I would like to thank all the librarians and staff for accommodating our tour and, rest assured, I will remain a vocal advocate for these great resources in the State Legislature.
