Brabenec Issues Statement on End of the 2019 Legislative Session
Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) issued the following statement regarding the close of the 2019 legislative session
Defined by dysfunction, state Majority has wrapped up a monumentally catastrophic 2019 legislative session with a slew of progressive bills that will wreak havoc in our cities and state. Majority politicians have made it clear this session; they are far more interested in pushing their partisan, socialist agenda than they are in protecting the interests of the law-abiding men and women of this great state.
New York Majority politicians have once again put illegal immigrants, criminals and big government ahead of the needs of middle-class New Yorkers.
Majority politicians had ample opportunity to address the rising cost of living, outmigration, increases in taxes and our crumbling infrastructure. Instead, the Majority showed that they care more about handouts for illegals, imposing unnecessary regulations over business and agriculture, relaxing laws for criminals and forcing their radical liberal agenda on New Yorkers.
Despite the disastrous 2019 session, I will continue to work hard for the Hudson Valley and will always stand for lower taxes, the rule of law and putting New Yorkers first.
