“The way in which the governor has gone about distributing vital COVID-19 vaccines has been a complete failure” said Brabenec. “Repeatedly he has blamed his administration’s lack of efficiency on the federal government or factors beyond his control. It simply isn’t true.

“The truth of the matter is that the administration had no plan. While Gov. Cuomo wastes his time threatening hospitals, New Yorkers across the state are unable to schedule an appointment to get vaccinated. All week, people have been met with crashed websites and jammed phone lines when following the state’s vaccination scheduling procedure. That is unacceptable. We must get doses in the hands of county and local authorities and make them readily available for everyone who wants one.”
