“The governor’s speech today was little more than a blanket denial of responsibility for anything that has happened since the start of the pandemic, and yet another instance of him blaming the federal government for his administration’s shortcomings. At the same time, the budget he presented almost entirely relies on receiving $15 billion in federal funding. Instead of trying to pass the buck onto the federal government and hoping for a bailout, the governor should be focused on how we get COVID-19 vaccines to all who want it and how we can safely get our businesses and schools back up and running.”
