Assemblywoman Nily Rozic Honored with Pillar of the Community Award at PAPD Asian Jade Society Annual Dinner

New York, New York – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D-Fresh Meadows) received the Pillar of the Community award at the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) Asian Jade Society’s Annual Dinner on Friday, June 13th, in recognition of her leadership, advocacy, and service to AANHPI communities across New York. The event, held at House of Joy in Manhattan, honored Rozic’s ongoing efforts to strengthen safety, promote inclusion, and uplift underrepresented communities.

The PAPD Asian Jade Society, an organization that promotes cultural understanding and supports the advancement of Asian American law enforcement professionals, annually honors individuals who have made a meaningful impact on public safety and community well-being. This year, Rozic was recognized for her strong record of working to build safer, more inclusive communities across New York.

The evening was a vibrant celebration of unity and public service, bringing together law enforcement officers, elected officials, and community leaders from across the state.

Throughout her career, Rozic has led efforts to expand language access, invest in anti-hate initiatives, and deepen trust between immigrant communities and public institutions. Her legislative work has made lasting strides in advancing equity and ensuring that New York remains a state where all communities feel safe, valued, and respected.
