Assemblywoman Nily Rozic Honors Retiring Principal Dr. David Marmor of Francis Lewis High School
Fresh Meadows, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic recognized the career of Dr. David Marmor, Principal of Francis Lewis High School, who will be retiring this January.
Dr. Marmor has dedicated more than twenty-five years to public education, including fifteen years as a principal, serving with distinction and a commitment to academic excellence and student-well-being. Under his leadership, Francis Lewis High School has maintained exceptional graduation and college readiness rates, expanded advanced course offerings, and completed a major capital improvement project featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and science laboratories.
Assemblywoman Rozic presented Dr. Marmor with a proclamation honoring his service, acknowledging his impact on students, faculty, and the broader educational community.
“Dr. Marmor has dedicated his career to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed,” said Assemblywoman Nily Rozic. “His leadership and commitment to excellence have left a lasting mark on Francis Lewis High School and the entire Queens community. I am proud to honor his remarkable career as he retires.”

“Dr. David Marmor's vision transformed Francis Lewis High School with the addition of the Annex. The expansion provided students with real world opportunities in science research, culinary arts, and hydroponic technologies. Equally important, he was a dedicated advocate for student mental health and the prevention of cyberbullying. His leadership combined innovation with compassion, leaving a lasting legacy for generations of students,” said Nidhi Babbar, Assistant Principal Science, Francis Lewis High School.
