Pheffer Amato Rallies Community for Purrr-fect Cause: Donate to Help Animals
South Queens, NY – New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) is calling on all animal lovers to join her donation drive for local animal rescues. The drive was inspired after a dog and several cats were recently rescued by the 100th Precinct. The drive is a way to give support to all the local animal rescues and will run from August 1st-August 18th with donations being able to be dropped off at the Assemblywoman’s Office, 95-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd., Rockaway Beach, NY 11693.
“This is a community that loves its animals. From our puppy parades on the beach, to the numerous local groups that are dedicated to cats, we treat our animals with love and respect-they’re family,” said Pheffer Amato. “I’m encouraging folks to donate any supplies they might have from food to clean sheets and towels. My office will be a drop off point and we will be bringing the supplies over to make the animals know that the people of our community love them,” said the Assemblywoman.
The Assemblywoman’s office will be collecting clean bedding, sheets, blankets, towels or unopened food.
