Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato’s Task Force Secures Cameras at Federal Parks
Howard Beach, NY – New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato successfully worked with the National Parks Service (NPS) and NYPD to secure the installation of cameras at two federal parks, Frank M. Charles Park and Hamilton Beach Park. Since taking office Pheffer Amato has spearheaded a Federal Parks Task Force for the betterment of the community and has been at the forefront of negotiating with the NPS and NYPD to secure and install these cameras. The current plan is for these cameras to be installed in late Spring.
“The safety of our community is always my first priority and I am very happy to see this finally come to fruition. Once installed, these cameras will be an additional tool for law enforcement professionals to monitor the park area and ensure our safety. Thank you to the NPS and NYPD for their partnership with the Task Force, and their commitment to our neighborhood,” said Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato.
