South Queens, NY – New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato re-emphasized her unwavering support for Israel after Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones over the weekend. “I support Israel today, I support Israel tomorrow, and I will support Israel forever. Am Yisrael Chai!” her statement read.

Pheffer Amato is the only Jewish elected official in South Queens and has never weaned in her support or advocacy for the Jewish community. In response to the October 7th terrorist attack, the Assemblywoman supported New York purchasing $20 million in Israel Bonds, bringing the State’s holdings in Israel Bonds to over $267 million. Pheffer Amato also recently announced the roll out of over $60 million in State-sponsored security funding for religious institutions, including synagogues and Yeshivas, which she secured in the 2023 State budget.
