Pheffer Amato Brings MetroCard Bus to Howard Beach
Howard Beach, NY – New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato partnered with the MTA to bring their mobile MetroCard bus to the community. The bus, which was converted into a one-stop-shop for all MTA-related needs, is something Pheffer Amato brings to the community several times a year. Howard Beach and Ozone Park residents lined up around the block outside Food Emporium to obtain or refill their Senior or Disability Reduced Fare MetroCards, transfer balances, and get answers to questions about other services provided by the MTA.
The MTA MetroCard bus is one of the Assemblywoman’s most sought-after events. “This is a service that my constituents continue to ask for every year, and I am honored to have once again brought this to our community. The services provided by the bus are not readily available, but I won’t let that stop my constituents from obtaining these reduced fares and deals. I want to create more accessibility for people to get around our City when dealing with public transportation. We need to make things easier for people, and this bus is a great tool to do that,” said Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato.
Pheffer Amato has also secured that the bus will return to the Lindenwood Shopping Center on Tuesday, October 29 from 10am-2pm.
