South Queens, NY New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato passed on a State-wide resolution in the New York State Assembly to declare January 27 “International Holocaust Remembrance Day.” This year brings additional significance as it marks the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration andextermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. “We must always commemorate the 6 million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust and pay tribute to their memory. It is our responsibility to never let hate go unchecked, and most importantly, that we never forget. May their memories forever be a blessing,” said Pheffer Amato.
