"This past week, I introduced A.5165, a bill to make it easier for Veterans and their loved ones, caretakers and community to get access to services throughout New York State. It requires the contact information for each Veterans' Home to be placed on the website of the Division of Veterans' Affairs.

"Previously, the website only provided contact information for veteran service-linked offices and United States Department of Veterans' Affairs Medical Centers. Adding the contact information for state-run Veterans' Homes is a small step, but an important one. As the state and the country move to streamline services so we can improve response times and quality of service for those who have sacrificed so much, this is a modest but crucial step in the right direction.

"I look forward to leading on Veterans' issues by doing everything in my power to improve the services we offer as a state to all vets, and to improve access to those services already in place."
