Pheffer Amato Tours Addabbo Health Center, Previews “Very Exciting, Much-Needed” Expansion Plans
This past Friday, March 10th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway) was given a tour of the Joseph P. Addabbo Health Center in Arverne by Marjorie Hill, the CEO of Addabbo Health. The Addabbo Center is a full-service Community Health Center, established in 1987 to serve the poor, medically indigent, and medically underserved at four campuses in Queens.
“Since the closing of Peninsula Hospital, the need for proactive healthcare has been huge,” said Pheffer Amato. “The facilities in Arverne are fantastic, offering pharmacy, dental, medical, x-ray and other services to the people who need it most, improving our quality of life and saving everyone money. And they do it all with professionalism and a big heart.
Hill showed Pheffer Amato plans for the upcoming expansion. “I can’t say enough good about expanding this vital resource for our community,” said Pheffer Amato. “I look forward to doing whatever I can to connect the community with the good work being done here.”
