This past Sunday, March 12th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway) was honored to provide corned beef for, and to have an opportunity to speak at, a lunch for Veterans from the St. Albans Veterans’ Affairs Center, held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Broad Channel.

“The first bill I submitted was for Veterans. My grandfather was a Veteran,” said Pheffer Amato. “We literally owe these brave men and women everything. So any chance I can get to be of help, even in small ways, it's an honor. I want to thank the St. Albans VA, the Broad Channel VFW, and everyone who came and who volunteered on Sunday. It was a wonderful event, and I can’t wait to see everyone again.”
