This past Saturday, June 3rd, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway Beach) helped inaugurate the “On the Rock” exhibit, which placed 17 sculptures by 16 different artists at 15 sites along the newly completed Boardwalk. “It’s so cool to see everyone’s take on the Rockaway Peninsula – most of the sculptures spoke to what the Peninsula meant to the artist who designed them,” said Pheffer Amato. The installation was organized by 14 Sculptors, a nonprofit, and will run through early fall.
