This past Friday, August 18th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D- Rockaway Park) hosted the MTA at the JASA Senior Center on Shorefront Parkway in Rockaway Park, so residents could learn more about MetroCards, buy them directly in their building and start the process of applying for Senior or Disabled reduced-fare cards.

“Lots of seniors use public transportation to get around, so it’s great to be able to do an event like this where we can bring the MetroCards to them,” said Pheffer Amato. “I wanted to thank JASA for being incredible hosts, and the MTA for coming out to connect directly with our seniors. I look forward to doing more of these in the future!”
