Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) dispersed over 45 turkeys graciously donated by Stop & Shop Arverne to multiple community groups and organizations for those in need. Organizations including (but not limited to): Beach 41st Street Community Center, Brookdale Village JASA Center, Rockaway Park JASA, Evelyn and Louis A. Green JASA Center, Catholic Charities in Howard Beach, Catholic Charities Seaside and numerous other local organizations. Pheffer Amato was joined by Captain Tavalaro and Officers from the 101 precinct to provide turkeys to the Beach 41st Street Community Center and both JASA’s in Far Rockaway.

“Thanksgiving is a great time for family and friends,” said Pheffer Amato. “It is also a great time to give back. I am grateful for the chance to represent this beautiful district and to have the opportunity to give help to our local families. Thank you to Stop & Shop for their generosity, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!”

Additionally Captain Vincent Tavalaro of the 101st Precinct, and all of the officers from the precinct wished all residents of Far Rockaway a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
