Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Far Rockaway) honored Barbara Bell with a NYS Assembly Citation for her work in combating the substance abuse epidemic in our community. Ms. Bell is a graduate of a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate training program through the NYC Department of Small Business Services. Ms. Bell, a former drugs addict utilizes her own personal experiences to help those still recovering. Ms. Bell was recently offered a job within the NYC Health Hospital system.
