Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato Honored at JCCRP 46th Annual Breakfast
Far Rockaway, Queens – This Sunday, April 29th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Far Rockaway), was honored with the Public Service Award at the 46th Annual Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula (JCCRP) Legislative Breakfast.
The JCCRP is a year-round social service organization that, according to their website, “since 1972… has been providing services on a non-sectarian basis to those in need and advocating issues of concern to the community.” Services offered by the organization include career counseling, disaster relief case management, financial counseling, housing and landlord/tenant mediation, legal assistance, Medicaid enrollment, and enrollment in the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).
“It was so humbling to be honored this weekend at the JCCRP breakfast,” said Pheffer Amato. “JCCRP is an amazing organization with a 46-year history of working with the entire Rockaway community in providing vital services for those in need. Thank YOU for all YOU do in our community.”
Pheffer Amato was honored with the Public Service Award in recognition of her lifetime commitment to the Jewish Community and endless determination in making the Rockaway Peninsula a better place.
