Pheffer Amato Honors Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services as ‘Small Business of the Month’
Rockaway Beach, Queens - Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D, Rockaway) this past Friday presented Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services (RBVS) with a NYS Assembly Citation. RBVS is a full service animal hospital, employing a dozen people, including two doctors: Dr. Hollander, a Rockaway Native, and Dr. Ruggiero, a Brooklyn native. Since opening in 2016 RBVS has worked with many rescue groups, charitable organizations, and have held numerous mobile adoption events.
“Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services is a locally owned small business that provides top quality services not only to our pets- who are extensions of our families- but across our community. Team Stacey found that out first hand when we adopted our office cat, Rocksea, from RBVS almost six months ago,” said Pheffer Amato. “Small businesses are the backbone of our community and deserve all the support we can provide- thanks for all you do!”
“On behalf of everyone here at RBVS, we would like to thank Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato for this most prestigious honor,” said the entire staff of Rockaway Beach Veterinary Services. “We take great pride in this recognition, as it is a reflection of our dedication to working hard for the community. We promise to do our best to continue to strive to achieve this level of excellence for many years to come!”
“Rockaway Beach Vet Services staff members are caring, friendly individuals committed to our pets and our community. They demonstrate how small businesses help to improve communities providing conveniently located vital services and jobs. We thank Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato for selecting them as the small business of the month,” said Dolores Orr Chair of Community Board 14.
