Albany, New York – Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato attend the NYS Assembly Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing on Delivery of Veterans Services and programming.

“This past week, I joined the Veterans’ Affairs committee’s public hearing in Albany to learn about best practices and overall opportunities for our Veterans. A wide array of topics such as, solutions toward decreasing the veteran unemployment rate, the alarmingly high suicide rates, especially amongst our young veterans between 18-34, was discussed by a prolific list of Colonels, Generals, Commanders, directors and commissioners,” Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway Beach) said. “Taking care of our veterans’ and ensuring they have a multitude of options upon their return home has been and always will be of utmost importance for not only our State, but Country. I look forward to working towards our many goals in the 2020 legislative session.”
