Lisena Landscaping donated Christmas Trees to families in need, and multiple civic organizations in 2019
Broad Channel, New York Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Broad Channel), on Friday, January 24th, awarded Lisena Landscaping with her Small Business of the Month award for January of 2020. Fred Lisena, second generation owner of Lisena Landscaping, accepted the award with his wife Jackie, and four members of their staff. Members of the Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic, as well as Betty Bratton, Chair of Community Board 10 in Queens attended the ceremony.
Lisena Landscaping brought the most valuable asset you can bring to the holiday season to these communities and their families: joy, Pheffer Amato, said. They are a great example of how a small business can truly become a community partner, and that is why it was easy to name them Small Business of the Month for January 2020.
"I want to thank Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato for honoring us with this citation, my wife Jackie, my family and our great staff who make running this business possible every day, Fred Lisena, owner of Lisena Landscaping said. This is a community that cares about one another, and I was happy to help contribute in my small way to that feeling of community over the holiday season."
"Community Board 10 joins Assemblymember Stacey Pheffer Amato in honoring Lisena Landscaping as her Small Business of the Month. Locally-owned and operated small businesses, like Lisena Landscaping, are part of the fabric of our community because they live and work here and have a real stake in making our area a great place, Community Board 10 Chair Betty Bratton, said. We, at CB10, appreciate their participation in community activities and their many contributions that make it a beautiful place for all of us.
"Our Civic is so proud of Lisena Landscaping for receiving this award from Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato," Joann Ariola, President of the Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic said. "Fred and Angelo's business is a wonderful example of what this community is all about, and what great small businesses we're lucky to have."
Lisena Landscaping is not only an excellent landscaping company but also a true community partner which continually looks to give back to our town, Dan Mundy, Jr., President of the Broad Channel Civic Association said. From donating our annual Christmas tree to supporting all of the towns beautification projects with countless hours of volunteer effort they have made a big impact on our town. It is great to see assemblywoman Amato recognized their effort and issue them this citation which they truly deserve
