Rockaway Beach, New York – This past Saturday, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway Beach), along with State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr., representatives from Councilman Eric Ulrich’s office, and members of the community participated in the Blue Ribbon challenge. The challenge was designed to show community support for our men and woman in blue. by tying blue ribbons on trees and poles throughout the community.

“As a community I believe it is so important to support our law enforcement who put their lives on the line every single day to protect us,” Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato said. “I am proud to participate in the Blue Ribbon Challenge, so we can acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the officers of the 100^th, 101^st, 102^nd and 106^th Precincts, and show how much we appreciate their continued efforts to keep us safe. I hope to see more blue ribbons showing up across my district, and for our communities to send a message to the NYPD that we have their backs.”
