Pheffer Amato Announces Return of the MetroCard Van
South Queens, NY – Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) announced today that the MetroCard Van will be returning in its full capacity to her district. On Friday, October 29, the MetroCard Van will be at the Peninsula Library from 10am - 2pm and at the Lindenwood Food Emporium from 1pm to 3pm.
“I am so excited to be able to bring the MetroCard Van back to our district,” Pheffer Amato said. “Rockaway has long been a transit desert, and it’s great to have the MTA come into our community to answer any questions about Reduced-Fare MetroCards and help people transfer their balance across cards.”
The MetroCard Van will be able to help people apply for a senior citizen or disability Reduced Fare MetroCard, transfer MetroCard balances, and exchange a damaged Reduced-Fare MetroCard. Cash will be accepted, but no debit or credit cards are accepted for payment. Please see the attached flyer for more information about the event.
